The drive is 2–3 hours. Count 3 hours plus a short buffer for evening traffic and last bags. Leave at 5:00 PM. Do not leave after 5:30 PM.

Keep these on you, not in checked bags: 6 passports (valid past 4 Nov), printed PNR RK1JGH, printed VinWonders + Sun World vouchers, hotel names and Maps links, and a paper copy of each passport photo page.
Rik travels as an infant — carry his passport to the AirAsia desk first. Cabin liquids stay under 100 ml except baby milk and food; declare those at security.

Immigration & Fly-Thru
Indian passports get a 30-day Vietnam visa exemption for tourism. At PQC, show passports, the return ticket, and Tropical Bay’s address. No visa fee if the officer stamps exemption.
KLIA2 is only a connection. Follow AirAsia Fly-Thru signs, remain airside, and do not clear Malaysian immigration. Bags should stay tagged to PQC.

Money, phones, time
Vietnam is 1 hour 30 minutes ahead of India. When you land at 9:30 AM local, it is 8:00 AM in Kolkata.
At PQC, use a TPBank or VPBank ATM with Niyo and tap Without Conversion. Skip airport money-changers. Taxis: cyan Xanh SM or green Mai Linh — not curb touts.
Turn on roaming or buy a Viettel/Vinaphone SIM or eSIM after baggage. Download offline Google Maps for Phú Quốc before you leave Wi-Fi.

Packing with an infant
Late October is warm and a little humid. Pack light cotton, one rain layer, mosquito repellent, sunscreen, and a Type A/C adapter (220V).
For Rik: extra nappies, formula or milk, spare outfit in the cabin, and any medicine with the prescription label. A compact stroller helps Grand World and VinWonders; fold it at the cable car if asked.
Drink bottled water on the island. Keep passports in the hotel safe after check-in and carry photocopies.

Sea Star checkout is 12:00 PM. The cab to PQC is about 15 minutes. AK548 leaves at 4:00 PM — be at the airport by 1:30 PM (same 2.5-hour family buffer).
AK63 lands CCU at 12:20 AM, Wednesday 4 Nov. Pre-book a night taxi or driver. The 2–3 hour drive home means you walk in around 2:30–3:30 AM. Keep one adult phone charged for the ride.
